Chris Wiley – A Part of TransAm’s Success

Earlier this year, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of TransAm Trucking. Within its 30 years, TransAm has grown from a small trucking company, to a multi-faceted organization. With the developments of TA Logistics, ONE Leasing, and TAFS, Chris Wiley has seen TransAm take on new challenges in different sectors of the transportation industry. “It’s been great seeing each of the subsidiaries expand and being a part of the process”, said Chris Wiley.

Chris is the Manager of Accounts Payable and Settlements. She and her team ensure that all expenses are paid and all contractors are compensated, as well as doing many other things for TransAm and its subsidiaries. “We have a small team that does a really great job.” Chris has worked for TransAm for 20 years and explained that she loves the family environment. “It’s a great feeling that the people I work with are as compassionate for each other as they are with their work” said Chris.

When asked what she enjoyed most about her job Chris said, “Helping new drivers.” Chris explained that her team works hard to ensure that every driver understands each part of their settlement. “If they come by the office, we sit down and review it with them right there.” Chris mentioned that for many of the drivers, this is their first settlement to review. “They are like sponges. They absorb as much information as possible and are willing to learn.”

It has been a great journey throughout these 30 years. TransAm would not have become what is today without the hard work and commitment from individuals such as Chris Wiley. Her benevolence towards others is inspiring to the rest of us. Thank you Chris, for your dedication to making TransAm a great place to work. We appreciate everything you have done and look forward to many more years together!
